“Pert: An Affirmative Action Dialogue” is a continuation of the work I began in 2019, combining archival interview materials with music. These quotes are excerpted from a 2008 interview between Jaqueline Wei Mintz and Florence Minnis as part of a series documenting oral histories of Yale University Women. Mintz was the first Affirmative Action officer of Yale, and her story offers a valuable insight into the process and obstacles along the way.
