While working with electronics is common for many collegiate-level performers, it is rarely a performance consideration for pre-college students. However, it can also be a daunting task for the music director to organize performances that do include electronics. “RISE” was created with the dual intentions of providing an opportunity for students to begin interacting with electro-acoustic performance in earlier stages of their work as well as developing a flexible, solo-to-quartet, work that would meet the multi-faceted percussion needs for the director.
